I've been using Memorex cdr's for as long as I can remember to burn my games and lately I've been selling games to people I know and a couple of people said they had problems with the Memorex Media on there PS2's and DreamCasts a friend of mine said he copied the games I gave him to PNY Media and then they worked fine does anyone know of a Media that works better then any other or has anyone else had problems with Memorex cdr's

Use verbatim's they may cost a little more but are well worth it.

I've had most success with SONY and verbatim. I've had bad experiences with maxell.
Different writers work better with different media. doctorB |

Can't comment on DC, but PS2 has a strong laser and will read anything that has been written error free. There are two proncipal issues with media.
1 Durability Coated media provide protection against scratches. Verbatim and Sony lead the way here. 2 Burnability Weak burner lasers produce doubtful results on certain media - Black surfaces for example. The temptation to burn fast exposes this weakness even if the manufacturer claims 16x but it is not one of the top brand proven burners. |

Hi,
Without a doubt the best media for backups is Verbatim Datalife plus media, with there dark blue layer they are the best. Cheers Dal
