Echelon ripping method

Hi ppl!

Got some questions 4 u!

- Does any1 know which ripping method (software, actually) Echelon uses?
- Or...from the ones listed in the DC Utilities secion of dccopyworld, which one would you recommend?
- How fast is the broadband method in front of the serial method?
- Is the broadband adapter sold in Japan compatible worldwide?

Thanks!

don't know they didn't really say it in their tutorial but i would assume that they just used a coders cable and then BBA when it became available.

i've had a lot of success with DCRIP 2.0 and TerraTerm. there is a macro you can download which automates the process of ripping with DCRIP.

i don't have a BBA but i heard it's 1mb/min. serial on the other hand is approx. 11k/sec.

i'm not sure about this but i think they are.

hope that helps.

It does, thanks.

I definetly read they use BBA but not sure about the software (probably home made?).

So, for the BBA method, any good tutorial and software? In english maybe?

Any1 to confirm compatibility of BBA worldwide?

THanks!

if you want to learn how to rip using BBA try this site:
http://luna.spaceports.com/~selfboot/Tutorial_Index/tutorial_index.htm

lots of valuable info about the DC.

i believe all BBA's are made in japan. at www.link-sang.com they say that their BBA's comes from japan and they sell a heap of it worldwide. try emailing them and see what they say. i'd get one if only it didn't cost more than what i paid for my DC console.
