Hello everyone!
This thread is about a game which is the first I ever played on PSX so it has some kind of "emotional value" for me. The problem is that i cannot remember it's name and now, 13 years later, I would like to play it. I will do the best I can to give you as much details as possible so someone could, hopefully, remember it.
OK, the game starts by a small yellow spaceship getting crashed between two rocks. You, the boy in a blue T-Shirt, jump out of the space ship (which immediately explodes) and proceed to the right (its kinda 2D, screen scrolling game - don't know how to define it). On the next screen you encounter some kind of sludgy black monster which charges towards you from the opposite side of the screen. You fry it using your gun which fires electricity and which will be your main weapon for some time. Then you proceed to the next screen. Now a bunch of black monsters rush for you, some of them even flying. You mostly fry them the same way but if any of those get to you they will grab you although you will still have an opportunity to shake them off you. After that is done, I remember that you continue traversing through those rocks and get face to face with one BIG black monster which eats your gun (i think, CD was damaged so FMV sequence was cutting) and you fall down the cliff, ending up in some kind of swamp. There you encounter many more types of monsters, like man-eating plants for examples and have to jump over some stones trying not to fall in the water, afraid of something which eats you as soon as you hit the water. Deeper into the swamp, you find some pinkish creature fighting one of the swamp's denizens. After you pull a branch of a tree nearby, a shaft of light appears through trees and kills the monster attacking the pink guy, which later proves to be friendly creature in a FMV sequence that follows.
That is as much information as I could remember. I tried to describe it in detail so it could ring a bell to you. I tried this on yahoo answers but without success. I suppose its kinda an old game but, please, do try to remember its name. Ring any bells?
