Error question- any know what to do to fix this problem
sometimes when im am using cdrwin i get this error: Error: 'Write' command failed on device 1:0:0 Read/Write error or bad medium detected (04h 00h 02h 03h 0Ch 09h) is there something that causes this error to come up?

i used to get the same error...
Is your CDRwin using the main ASPI Layer on your system? Mine was, and i fixed it by installing the GoldenHawk ASPI Layer and changing the option in CDRwin which controls which ASPI Layer it uses. Everything worked fine after this and i haven't had that error since, or any error in fact |

i just installed new aspi driver on it, i got them from apeteac or some shit like that, where do i get these drivers you are talking about

The best ASPI drivers for CDRWin/Nero are at ####://www.goldenhawk.com .
Goldenhawk have told me they may one day publish the rror code list! Most of the occurrences during writing are due to buffer under-runs (when you least expect them). That's usually cured by not running anything at the same time and/or (and this is most common( defragging the hard drive to provide a smmother buffer read. |
