pioneer help and inputs plz.

surf over 14+ web. read newbie pages.
1. order modchip DMS3 v2.0 for ps2 version 4.
2. looks like "Pioneer A04/A05" is best in newbie page.
3. Ritek media is good as posted.
4. Nero backup software.

ok i did number one above and chip is coming and i am great solder.

As for pioneer goes. what MODEL? as mention above A04 and A05 is great but higher price then NEWER Model like PIONEER DVR-A07 and PIONEER DVR-107.
The questions is PIONEER DVR-107 and PIONEER DVR-A07 better then PIONEER DVR-A04/A05, the spec seem to say so? and if its better to go with the newer one A07/107....which one?
the A07 or 107? spec on the model is very similar.
who here has own a PIONEER DVR-A07 or PIONEER DVR-107 model? have u have any problems backing up ps2 with Nero?

your input are very important for me to make final decision on purchase of Pioneer Burner. thx peep in advance for the community supports.

A04/A05 are going to be hard to find new, as they are outdated with the A07 here now. A04/A05 are strictly -r/-rw burners. A06/A07 have added +r/+rw support. The A07 is a faster model of the A06. I plan on getting an A07 very soon myself. It is a win win situation no matter which Pionner you get as they are just plain awesome.

ok i bought PIONEER-A07U.
updated firmware from pioneer web site.
cant seem to back up "Hackers" DVD movie that i have.
i thought i read some place that u can back up ONE of your original copy. but i seem to unable to do it. has anyone able to backup there original DVD movie with the software that came with the A07 drive?
will NERO software back it up if i purchase it?
some of my movies R getting beat up...my kids dont exactly no or care of these stuff.

DVD Movies are encrypted. You will need other programs to unlock the encryption. You will then need to make sure the dvd you are planing to back up is under 4.37gigs. The majority of DVD Movies are also dual layered which means they are twice the size that a dvdr can hold.

You got to shop around and know your stuff, some places still sell the OEM A05/105 for $287cdn while the newer A07/107 goes for $229cdn. go figure ! I bought an retail A05 last week for $129cdn inside a LaCie retail box ...still go figure !
