I need help burning DC CD-Rs....
I have successfully made an Audio CD with .MP3s converted to .WAV
I have backed up my original Win98 SE CD and Nero CD I have Dreamcast CD-Rs (backups) that I am trying to duplicate. This has become the bane of my existence. I have done this before at friend's houses on their old burners without a hitch. I continue to get buffer underrun errors. Tech support could not figure it out. I have scoured the web for 2 days reading all sorts of info, but I am more confused than ever. I have to admit, as far as Burning goes, I have very little experience. Buffer underrun is supposed to be when the buffer runs out of info and cannot supply the CD-RW with data, result: coaster (i've now got 17 of these). I've tried burning at 4x, 10x and 12x. "On the fly" and not. I'm not using the computer while burning (even though tech support told me that they played Quake while burning in the background). What am I doing wrong (besides piracy ![]() TIA Ohlias -- Win98se Official Detonator v5.22 MidTower w/250w PS and 1 extra case fan PIII700e FC-PGA (Retail Fan and Heatsink) Abit SlotKEY!!! Your Main Problem is The EIDE Burner.Every single person that I know that bought an EIDE over SCSI had nothing but problems and countless calls to tech support and coasters out the you know what.I bought an scsi drive from the beginning and have had nothing but sucess.I have burned over 500 pc games and approx. 600 or if not more psx games...Also I burned about 100 to 150 DC Games. EIDE is Crap!!!!! They just dont produce the results an scsi drive will...spend the extra money and get yourself an scsi plextor drive. This will fix your problem!!!!!

forgot to mention..
The reason you can't copy the little blighters are little programs set into the cd confuse writers and load up your memory making it impossible to do, this may be fine for the chaps making tousands of copies but if your not up to that game its a bit anoying.laser thread or something similar is one program..
try reading the same line in a book a million times and then you get the idea... ![]() Last edited by stuarticus the faded; 17-10-2004 at 13:52. Reason: needed to |
