The external software (like CloneCD) sends commands to the hardware that are interpreted by the firmware. and i got a old sony burner wqith 4mb buffer but it dont have buffer underun now all th new burners seem to ahve 2mb buffer is that because they ahve buffer underrun? ANSWER: Probably. The kry in your situation to avoiding buffer under-run is to do three things: 1 Keep your hard disk defragged otherwise it can't supply data fast enough 2 Put your burner on a different IDE channel from the HDD otherwise they compete 3 Don't run other programs at the same time that use the HHD You probably knew those pieces of advice from hard experience. |
