problems backing up my games....

i recently installled a magic 3.1 in my ps2. i have tried to play backups of only ps1 games thus far, and they won't work. i hold the reset button until the eject turns blue like i have been instructed. the game acts as if its getting ready to load but doesn't. the screen just remains black. if i wait long enough, the browser will appear with a black disk, which i assume means that it does recognize it as a ps1 game. if i hit enter, another black screen appears and still, no game. but, since i am not getting the red screen which says "please insert a ps2 or playstation format game" anymore, i assume the problem is not my mod-chip. i have been attempting to back up street fighter EX plus alpha and tony hawk's pro skater 2. i tried putting the data on my hard drive with blind read and then writng to a disk with blind write. when i test on blind write, there are usually errors, so its no surprise thats why i cant get it to work. i have also tried direct copies of games with roxio, nero, fireburner, and cdr/win. all of these tell me that my disc has been completed successfully, yet they still dont work. i have also tried making backups of megaman x5 and x6 on all the previous software from iso files off the internet and there is no luck here either(yes, i did use a cue/bin file, and not the iso). i am currently using TDK and Imation CD-R disks to burn on, and yeah, they are cheap. could someone PLEASE help me with this!!! i have read all the tutorials, FAQ's, and message boards that i could find and still have had no luck. thanks

Did you read the rules?? it clearly states no talk about downloaded games.
