Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete

I have a small 2 computer LAN at my apartment. After buying a copy of HOMM3, and noticing that you could play a multiplayer game with only one cd. I liked the game so much, I went and got the Complete edition (original game and 2 expansion packs on one installation). However, it won't allow me to play multiplayer off one cd anymore.

Sure, I could just keep playing the old version, but would the point be in buying the Complete edition? I've seen no-cd patches for the original game and both expansion packs individually, but NOT for the Complete edition. Since I don't want to buy the same game twice, and there aren't any no-cd patches available yet.... is there a decompiler or deassembler i can use to take out the cd check? Or could someone tell me a little more about how to find which cd protection is being used so I can back it up?
