CloneDVD2 not writing

I have the following:

Dell XPS All-in-one
AnyDVD 6.4.9.0
CloneDVD 2.9.2.0 (set to run compatibility for Windows XP)
Windows Vista
Maxell DVD+R/RW blank discs
TEAC DVD+/-R drive

I put in a DVD (Bucket List), AnyDVD scanned, went through the procedures to Cone DVD. I successfully copied the dvd. Got to the screen where it asks me to put in my DVD+RW. I inserted the DVD+RW and then CloneDVD just sat there with no progress in the "writing" bar. I left it overnight. When I returned in the morning, still no progress. CloneDVD2 was not responding. The only way to close was via the task manager. And the only way to eject my blank DVD+RW was to restart the computer.

I also got the same result when trying with another movie (Babel).

I have read many forums (via google), but they are all dated from 2005 or earlier. Most refer the user to revert to an earlier edition of CloneDVD2...but that was so long ago.

Has anyone encountered this error? If so, were you able to resolve and how?

Oh, and I have tried several different methods...

I've uninstalled by AnyDVD and ConeDVD2 and reinstalled.

Try this: enable AnyDVD, create an image with CloneDVD, disable (or, even better, exit) AnyDVD and burn the image with CloneDVD. (AnyDVD may be doing something that CloneDVD doesn't like while it's trying to burn the DVD?)

Trying Now

Thanks Joe, I'm trying now. I also bought some Sony DVD-R discs. I'm willing to try anything - haha.
