double sided dvd backup

Hi I've recently started to back up my dvd collection, and everything was going fine like many have said in their earlier posts Untill I hit a snag on Monday. My snag involves a t.v series written to double sided disc. side 1 burns fine, I'm having problems with side 2. Anyone have any tips? I'm using intervideo dvd copy five. Thanks.
