Bloody Roar 3 (PAL) won't work???

Hi,

I just made 3 copies of Bloody Roar 3 (PAL) and all will not work.

I use a PS 2 with Neo 2.2 and DVDRX.

I tried the regular boot and the ea-boot method.

The first two copies I made with Clone CD. I made an image with my cd-recorder (fully supported by clone cd, "Brainwave BP1300 12x Rec 10 RW 32x Read, latest Firmware) and burnt it with 8x speed. Trying to boot both ways, the game locked up after the Hudson logo.
Then I made a new image with Clone CD now recording 2x speed but I had the same problem again, even with my third try in which I used CDRWin to make the image (2x/2x) and to record (4x).....the game boots, plays the Hudson logo/intro a few seconds and then locks up.

Looking for patches I only found 2 for the NTSC version.

Can anybody give me advise on that plz??

Btw., backing up Extreme G Racing (PAL) worked fine with clone cd, but in the second stage, the music loops after 60% of the level finished, an the screen freezes a few seconds after finishing the race. The next levels work fine again, but I haven't played that far. Has anybody experienced something like that?

M8,

I have made a backup of bloodyroar3 with no problems.

try making an image from your CDRWRITER then burn it to a Verbatim CDR at 2 X Speed using CLONE CD

Is it an original game you are making a backup from or is it copy???

Cheers

Dal

Hi, i have the ntsc original of bloody roar 3 and it isnt a dvd formated game and to my knowledge the pal version is the same. As dal stated , clone cd will make a perfect backup of this game. Try burning it a regular cdr.

Well, the PAL version I tried to backup from is my original cd-rom. I made the image with Clone Cd, but I don't see the reason why it hangs on booting. I'll give it a try with verbatim at 2x speed.

K, now it works, I used Verbatims with 2x speed.

But I'm not sure whether the Verbatims solved that.

The game boots using the EA method, then it loads the Hudson logo. After the Hudson logo it locks. At least I thought it locks but it only hangs. The drive starts acting out gettin' very loud then loads and hangs again. After that the game works with any further errors.

My PS2 is alright 'cause it plays my original game discs (DVD as well as CD-ROM), with no problems same with other backups. The only thing similar to that, is Extreme G Racing, where in the second stage of the first league, the sound starts looping after a while and the game hangs for 2 or 3 seconds when the race is finished. The following stages are ok and don't have that.

Has anybody experienced somethin like that? Like I said, I use Neo 2.2 and DVDRX, is it important in which slot I put in the DVDRX Card? I got it in the 2nd memory card port.

Hi,

Are you making your copy from a backup???? or is it the original CD your making the image from. This is very important to know where your getting the source from.

Cheers

Dal

decent media can help your backups boot better, but i reckon from the problems your having its either the source you making the image from or maybe something todo with your burner, have you made backups that boot fine using it???

Cheers

Dal

hmm, yes I made booting ones

My #####r told me the problem would be clone cd. He advised me to make a 1:1 copy with cdrwin and to boot with ea method. I'll give that a try sometime.
