I haven't used one yet but I beleive the Ben-Q brand had a decent rating in a recent computer hardware magazine I read. I think the special media you have to buy to use the lightscribe feature cost almost twice as much as a regular DVD+R\-R disc. I'm going to stick with a sharpie marker, or if I really feel fancy, I'll use some cheap Memorex lables along with Surething CD labler 4 and print the label just how I want it. Looking at some of the pictures that lightscribe drives do really don't impress me anyway, but I've never seen one up close, just magazine pictures. Let us now if you think its worth while if you get one.....

The discs are going to be alot more expensive btw, Ive had a few manufacturers willing to give some stock for advertising their product (i.e. tell people how great it is even if it isnt)

I like my lightscribe personally...

I currently run a HP 640B lightscribe. I find the labels moderately more expensive, but I definetly confirm nothing can approach the quality of these labels. The only downer is they take about 20-35 mins to burn.

Friend has a CD burner with light scribe. Very neat, but I'll stick with my cheap-o CD-Rs. My friend has had some trouble trying to find the discs that have this option, as well. I could probably take some pictures of them if you'd like.
