I have a patched cracked exe at http://oms.fw.hu/mk4/mk4.rar. The changes are:
- added missile lighting effects
- added a higher software resolution
- added support for DirectX7 (or 6, I don't remember)

Replace this exe with the original. You still need the CD for non-menu music and movies, but the game works without it.

i have downloadewd this patch

this time i get a message that the exe already excists do you wish to replace it i then click yes, but when i click on the shortcut of the game i get please install the game.

i then replace the patch exe with the offical one and the game runs fine.

Try this reg file using the crack. Make sure you don't use compatibility mode in Windows XP. It causes the same problem for me as well. During the game if the keys don't respond press Alt+Enter. I hope it works this time.

but the exe wont download for me it stops before the download is complete

i managered to download the file now but the game still wont run without the cd.

when i use this exe i downloaded i get game not installed run set up from cd.

i know the game is installed though and as soon as i replace the exe from the offical disc i can play the game again as long as i insert the orginal cd.
