Bad Image error

I was browsing, and went to filefront.com. A pop-up popped-up and i couldn't close it. It kept saying End NOw!? So I said yes. It still didn't work, so I clicked on my power button. I restarted my computer, and everytime I opened a program or such, it would say "The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\System32\tasasify.dll is nota valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette. I googled it for troubleshooting, and it turns out others have had errors like this, although it doesn't end with the same program dll (in my case, tasasifu.dll) Any Ideas? All the others told me to install a range or programs, and they don't seem safe. Any ways how to fix this error?

Sounds like the usual sneaky ad through an ad server that installs nasty spyware etc to your machine.

First.

1. Goto Start > Run > Regedit and press ok (on vista type regedit in the search box)

2. In Regedit, check the following entries.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Curr ent Version>Run ((if anything looks suspicious like weird filenames and programs you dont know about then you can try to remove that line)

also

HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Curre nt Version>Run also

3. Also use msconfig (in run window or search in vista) and check your startup on this, by going to the last tab when it loads up. If you see anything out of the ordinary here you can disable it from loading.

4. There is a good chance however your Internet Explorer would have been hijacked, so everytime you start IE it will reinfect your machine, if so, you have a couple of options, try some sort of free anti-spyware program there is some out there or reinstall your machine from scratch. Last option is always the 100% way to make sure your clean.

5. Also make sure your always protected with an Anti-Virus program installed.

6. Buy a DVD-Rom to play your GTA:SA, they are cheap.

Thx for the help! I don't get how to use the MSconfig, but I did the steps for RegEdit, but tasasifu isn't there.

I got a dvd rom, and I can play GTA:SA Now! Yay!

(How do you guys DABhand, Tippex, and such seem to know everything?
