Perhaps the problem is related to the Core 2 Duo, I mean, the game may not support dual-core engines and crashes.
Get WinLauncherXP - it's a free utility program enable you set define which core the application will use. set motogp.exe to use core0 and try.

Angry Tried all this

Ok peeps. Yes i said peeps. I tried all mentioned above. I frequent the site gamecopyworld and they usually have the up to date no cd's and such.
I've tried reinstalling and updating and using all the patches and nothing will work. Stumbled upon this site and tried what was mentioned above. Technically it should work but its not. I keep receiving this error upon running the game. I'm running this on an amd x2 4600, 8800gts and windows x64 xp pro

Blank screen then:

Negative I get the regular Error:

Wrong disc inserted.
Please insert the original "MotoGP07" CD/DVD.
Please have a look at http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=wrongdisc for further, more detailed information.

sigh, why didnt you say that then...
okay issue seems crack related then, because you say it works fine with original...
so try setting the game to compatability mode.. if that fails try setting it to 1 cpu (if you have more than 1 cpu/core's in your system) crash address is @ 0x00252081 + base address... probably 452081 ... can't check whats causing it as i dont have the exe here...

Good deal, i did try the compatability that didn't help. However i didnt try the affinity. The only problem is after I hit run game or whatever it says in the menu it crashes before i can select the affinity. Is there a way to set the affinity so it always starts up on one cpu?

i do have dual core

When I said that your problem can be using a Core 2 Duo, I mean every dual or more core processor.
WinLauncherXP enable you to set the processor afinity before running the App. Use it.

Minimum Spec GFX card is an ATI 9800, so PS v2.0 or above!

I have a nVidia 7300 GT 512MB and runs smoothly.
I have no problems with the game. Am just trying to help (if I can. Seems today is not my day for help or give tips).

I recommend people to use System Requirement Labs to check the specs for playing before buy the game.
