Great, now you're spamming us with your problem.
Stick with playing the game off the CD. Last edited by ash2dust2; 02-09-2004 at 10:31. |

Disabling IDE drives in BIOS isn't presented so bluntly. When you go into BIOS, choose the one that says "Standard CMOS Features" or something along those lines. In there you should find four selections that say :
HTML Code:
<pre> IDE Primary Master auto IDE Primary Slave auto IDE Secondary Master auto IDE Secondary Slave auto </pre> If none of this is in there, sorry for wasting your time. Last edited by WailinChieftain; 02-09-2004 at 22:34. |

Notebook BIOS's are generally specialized and some arent worth squat.
Still why create a new dup thread of your problem? |

So obvious isnt it!!
Luciel I would have to agree with one of your other posts....some people like to make it so obvious that they dont have the original discs...why why why would anyone go to such extremes if they owned the original? And what a lame excuse to say "because I dont want to damage the original"
I nor my 2 boys (aged 10 and 7) have ever damaged a disc! Like I teach my boys: Gently take Discs from case, gently place into CD slot or tray, play the game as rough as you like, then gently remove disc from tray and place back into the CD cover! This surely is easier than the amount of effort some people go to just to play a game!! My kids have been using my discs since they were 3 years old! It is possible not to damage them, all it takes is a little care! |

Ok, lets assume he's legit until he says otherwise. Maybe someone has a custom BIOS for his laptop. Or someone with the same laptop, understands the BIOS better than him.
Lets not post anything in here unless its constructive and see how long it goes before he bumps his own thread. |

Yes....unfortunately My bios is a custom bios and on the pc desktop at home I not need to disable the cdrom from bios (also if I can do this) beacuse at home I can play with original disk.... the problem was only for laptop ,causes the long travel every day for go to work , I 'd like leave original disk at home.
many thanks to people which can help me ![]() |
