Seious Problem - Dreamcast won't boot up
Okay, this is some serious messed up stuff I have gotten myself into. I downloaded and burned the Utopia boot CD in order to play a game I burned. I loaded up the Utopia bootloader and put a game in afterwards, but then I had to turn off my system because a friend came over unexpectedly, so the game didn't fully load.
Now, even when I put a game that I bought myself, the Dreamcast doesn't recognize it in my Dreamcast. I'll put the game in and it will say that it's #####ing the CD, but then when I click on play game, the Dreamcast tells me that I need to insert a game into the Dreamcast. So, in essesnce, I can't play a damn thing on my Dreamcast.
All I can think of is that the Utopia CD either A.) saved or altered the Dreamcast internal memory to somehow not load a game (not purposely mind you) or B.)It somehow is capable of messing up the Dreamcast hardware (laser) if not used properly.
I can only think of a fix for the A scenario, and that's by erasing the Dreamcast internal memory, but, as far as I can tell, you can't do that without loading the Dreamcast web browser, and I can't do that. So, I would like to know if anyone knows how to erase the Dreamcast internal memory without keeping it unplugged for a month or using the internet browser CD. Or, if they know any fixes for the state my Dreamcast is in. I think I may have to get a replacement from Sega or something. Sorry for the long post, but I've seen other people post the same question, but then get far less than adequate response, so I wanted to make this as descriptive as possible.
