CD-R Won't play on Audio player
I'm very new to this having just created my first audio CD-Rs. Created one which plays on several audio players including my old Technics player, my Car player etc. but will not play on my son's portable Hitachi CD player (the latest player we have in the house having been bought a few weeks ago).
I'm using an external HP 8230E (USB connection) and TDK CD RW700 discs (UK/European). Are there any tweaks or tips I need to use to create discs which will play on this and all audio players ? Are there certain disc makes/types I need to use? Any help will be appreciated.

First you need to find out whether that player can actually read burnt cds or does it only play pressed ones.

Thanks for the reply. The CD audio player docs don't mention CD-Rs at all so I have emailed Hitachi for an answer. In the meantime tried burning another very cheap CD-R Brand (Tevion) and it plays on the Hitachi and all my other CD players.
Original discs I tried were HP CD-R C4437A (not TDK as I previously stated). I thought HP were better quality and therefore more likely to play but it seems the cheaper discs do the trick. Only other thought is I did something incorrect on my first attempts however I don't recall doing anything different.
