QUESTION FOR EXPERTS

I have a question for people
that
really knows about hardware.

I want to use an internal ide
cd-reader that i do
not use any more with
my computer, as
an stand alone
cd audio player (without my pc).

I have an atx power supply that i also do not use any more, so i can
power this cd-reader without no problems.

Then i will use the stereo audio
output
from the front of this this cd-reader
to feed a set
of amplified speakers.

I only have one problem: this cd-reader does not have a play, track up, track down
and/or stop buttons, so when i put
an audio cd in it, the cd is loaded but i can
not make it
to play due to the lack of a play button.

So my question is:
is there a way
to make this cd-reader to play ?

Is there a way to make it
possible,
throught the ide interface for example ?
