need help converting to mp3's

I have alot of AAC (.m4a) files, and i hate them.
i want them to be mp3's
there are a ton of programs that can convert from .m4a to .mp3, thats not my problem
my problem is retaining the tag info, i have downloaded and tried some that say they do... but when i play the file in my itunes, it doesn't know the artist or anything.
its rather frustrating, i have alot of these files, so i can't edit each one

anyone know of a program that will actually retain the tag info?

Take a look at this ...

http://tunebite.com/en/remove_drm/index.html

it retains tag id, and converts from /to many formats ...

I second Tunebite, I use it for a while and it's very useful for me cause it converts all the files I need, video and audio, and the new features are helpful as it now can download videos and mp3s from music sites and even from web radios.. If you want more info see it here: http://tunebite.com/en/audio_video_d...ion/index.html

Do you copy images of the files or whole files?
