Would like to download this myself but I get the typical pain in the butt rapidshare message off:

Quote:
You have reached the download-limit for free-users. Want to download more?
Get your own Premium-account now! Instant download-access! (Or wait 119 minutes)
....and the annoying part is I haven't downloaded anything!!

Thats why and many others hate rapidshare links.

If you're sitting on a Net access that is shared among multiple people (usually LAN at home or work) then you'll be seen as a single IP adress from the outside. As Rapidshare records downloads based on IP addresses - what else could it do?! -, it will tell you that you already downloaded stuff. Actually, no, you didn't, but someone from your LAN did.

(Sorry for the lecture if you already knew this... )

The same can happen if you're on a dynamic IP at your ISP and the previous person, who had the IP address that you have now, downloaded stuff from Rapidshare... (No, I don't like Rapidshare either... )

I finally got around to installing this today.

Must say it at first looks very impressive with the many flash features etc.
Unfortunately my Snap Crackle Pop problems are a lot worse now.

And the worst part, cant record to mp3 format anymore!! Yep Creative now want an additional $9.99 US for an MP3 Audio Pack!!!

So effectively their new version is actually a backward step!! You now have to pay for what was freely available in the older versions. Doesnt make sense!

Ahh Creative never ceases to amaze!! (Not entirely a good thing lol )

Good old "if it ain't broken, don't (try to) fix it" syndrome?

Thats the thing Joe, it was broken. lol

I have always had a problem with what they refer to as 'Snap Crackle Pop' (SCP). A popping or crackling sound thru the speakers.
People have been complaining about SCP for many many years. (cant remeber exactly how many years but its a lot).

This SCP occurs when using CMSS2 and Environment settings. With the older software I got around the SCP by creating my own environment setting and lowing the reverb in that one created setting.

But this new software wont allow you to create your own environment settings? So the SCP is a now a lot worse.

I only did a reformat yesterday so tested this new software on a fresh system.

Unfortunately Creative always seem to take the one step forward 2 steps backwards approach with anything they do!

As flashy as this new version is I will be going back to the older version.
