The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Graphic and Error Problems

Hi,

I got two major problems with my The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game,
And they appear with and without any of the cracks/NO-CD patches.

I install the game without any problem, and when I start to run the game at the first time it try to check my graphic card so the game can adjust the game graphic into what I should have with my graphic card. But somehow it can’t find out what graphic card I use…

So I just start the game, I have tried to run on 600x400, 800x600, 1024x760, 1280x1024 and 1600x1400… But when I start the game, I get the menu where I should apply what name and such I want to have on my character. And then, when I’m about to adjust my characters appearance, then I see that my whole characters face is white, and all I can barley see of it is the eyes that are even more white…
So I simply just click ok, and give a damn in that appearance thing…
But it’s the same problem in the game, it’s all white! All I can see is a white screen, and maybe I can see some details around me that are even more white, and maybe some black stripes, but it’s terrible and impossible to play with that graphic!

So I thought it might help if I turn the graphic settings down a bit,
So I go into the options  video settings screen, and I actually put all the graphic settings to the lowest,
But everything I click on return from the video options screen, the game just close itself and I get a Microsoft error messenger, and it asks me if I want to send an error messenger to Microsoft about this problem and blah, blah, blah…
I have tried several times now; I can successfully change sound options and everything without the graphic settings. I have tried to reinstall the game, restart my computer, tried with and without all the cracks/NO-CD patches on gamecopyworld.com, but nothing seems to work! So the game graphic remains unplayable!

So what causes this failure in the graphic? And why can’t I change the video options without getting this Microsoft error?

I got a fully updated U.S Windows XP Service Pack 2, and fully updated all components…
All from my CREATIVE Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS too my MSI GeForce 4 Ti4800SE 128MB AGP 8x graphic card…

In that case it's the publisher that you need to speak to or use the official forums for the game: http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums

Also, if you read the Readme you would see that your MSI GeForce 4 Ti4800SE 128MB AGP 8x graphic card is NOT SUPPORTED by the game:

@RamGuy
Look at THIS thread or google for "oldoblivion"; but to really enjoy the game a good DX9 card with shader model min. 2.0 is highly recommended
