Ps2 problem - Backup boot on Ps1 screen then freeze

I'm using a Ps2 debugging kit, and Half the games I backuped are not working.

They boot on a Playstation screen instead of the regular Ps2 screen, and then they freeze.

Do you know what can be the problem ? Games such as Crash Bandicoot or Spy hunter, that are obviously patched or ripped of something, are working fine, but games such as Sky gunner, otage, and others are not working at all.

I use Nero and cdrwin to burn them. I even convert the bin as an Iso sometimes, but I get the same problem
