Can´t copy the .vol file of Gran Turismo 3!!! Why???

I can´t copy the .vol file of Gran Turismo 3 (gt3.vol) !!! Why, I inserted a startup disk and I typed in:

E:\>copy E:\gt3.vol C:\granturismo3
(My DVD Drive is E)

And it doesn´t copy the file!
Why doesn´t it work???
Can somebody help me and tell me what iI have to do????
