Diablo II NoCD patch solved!
It appears as though since the new 1.09 patch has come out some of you have not been able to play on the net. But, then it seems that I was expecting a new NoCD patch to come out because I had not yet downloaded the 1.09 patch.
The solution is: there wont be a new NoCD patch... the 1.08 NoCD patch still works, and if it does not work for you, then there is either something wrong with your instalation of the patch or you are using a different patch other than the most recent dARWIN 1.08 patch. Try using the 1.08 patch again and follow the instructions carefully. I have had to do nothing cuz my NoCD patch still works and it does for several others I have talked to.

Diablo II, Lord of Destruction: Insert Expansion disc
Quote:
I recently purchased Diablo II with the LoD Expansion set. I chose to install all of the CDs using the hard-drive option versus the CD option. I had to travel recently on my job and left all of my CDs home in safe-keeping to only find out that I can't launch the game without the notification to, "Insert the Expansion disc". I have researched on the web about this issue for several hours and have tried everything I could thing of but to no avail. I have 11 .mpq files in my \Diablo II directory. I have applied the latest Expansion patch v1.12a Regards, Keith Last edited by kwoodard65; 29-10-2008 at 09:07. Reason: Incorrect title |

Did you copy all mpq files from the expansion disc? Since there's no cd-check it's most likely you're just missing some files. As far as I remember you have to copy the movies and the music files from both the expansion disc and the Diablo 2 cinematics disc, because the full install doesn't copy all necessary files to your hard drive.
