patch for dance dance revolution 2 append club v1

I have the Japanese original game disk and a mod-psx1. I would like to be able to patch this to work in North America. I found a patch for this title in the megagames console backup world section. It is a xps patch and I am having trouble creating the iso file and applying the patch to make it to work. Can anyone help either instructions for this xps patch or another kind of patch (e.g. ppf) for this title.
