Suikoden Y-Pos Breaker Pro Issue

I have a backup of Suikoden NTSC-U and every time I boot it with Breaker Pro it plays fine but the screen is stretched out vertically more than it should be, even when the video mode is set to NTSC, and as a result cuts off the extended dialogue. This doesn't happen with Suikoden II or any other backup for that matter. Does anyone with Breaker Pro and a backup of Suikoden have the same problem or does someone in general know of a way to fix this? Thanx.

You will have to make a backup from the original and apply a patch, Do you own the original??

No, but I know a few people that might. I've never known of Suikoden to need a patch. I guess it does, apparently. Have you personally encountered this problem specifically with Breaker Pro or do you know someone that has? I'd appreciate if you can tell me where to get the patch and how to apply it. Thanx.

Oh and I already checked the sites in the sticky thread and no Suikoden patches on any of'em.

And you will keep bumping every week only because you feel so... Right.

Actually no I don't plan to. I follow my own rule of waitin a week or so before askin one more time. If after that no one answers, I move on.

For future reference, it would help others if you weren't such a provocative clown. If you don't have anythin to contribute to what it is I'm askin don't reply. I'm well aware of the rules and your condescending tone won't help further your "dutiful" efforts.

You may want to wait 2 weeks before you check back.
It will be that long before your ban lifts. You may be aware of the rules but you dont seem to understand them. No warez allowed!!

That means downloaded games that you dont own the original to.

Hehe, i got the same problem not only with suikoden, with many other games too.. I have Breaker Pro 1.1 PAL Version and it's running on a ps2 v4 with flip-top cover.

So here is the plan:

To avoid this silly Y-Pos Issue, simply turn Videomode to "OFF" in the Breaker Pro Menu and then start the Game XD

Yeah it is really that simple

That was one of the first things I tried. Didn't work for me. However, I figured it out about a week and a half ago. All you have to do is burn it with Alcohol 120%. It has a data type option for 'Play Station' that duplicates the copy protection of the CD thus making it a perfect 1:1 copy. Popped it in and sure enough the screen was aligned as it should be.
