Hi Kaktor. I forgot to mention I also used this same method on the other files which contain data and dds texture as well as other assets such as text, models and so on. the ogg file test was simply that. just a test to see how fast it would extract. after applying the recompression to the other files, the game installed much faster than before. before the whole game took 30 min to install, and after i recompressed the .bra files which contain data textures and other assets with lolz and msc which can compress dds wav and mp3 files, then recompiled the installer, the game installed completely in 10 minutes. just thought i would mention that.

I will test bpk+lolz but I can't imagine there should be any benefit from it.
oggre:dd is even bigger output (without dd option it is smaller).

What is lepton actually?

I don't like to use MSC too much (only use for wav and bmp files actually).

I tested further with mpz and with srep before mpz it is even smaller output with MD5 perfect after unpacking + it made the archive solid (mpz can't made archive solid for some reason (packmp3 is not compatible with srep for some reason)). I made some comparisons.
Code:
mpz
Compressed 54 files, 276,552,632 => 234,232,753 bytes. Ratio 84.70%
Compression time: cpu 0.47 sec/real 129.96 sec = 0%. Speed 2.13 mB/s
All OK

srep+mpz
Compressed 54 files, 276,552,632 => 182,162,764 bytes. Ratio 65.87%
Compression time: cpu 0.30 sec/real 109.99 sec = 0%. Speed 2.51 mB/s
All OK

mpz+srep
Compressed 54 files, 276,552,632 => 234,237,165 bytes. Ratio 84.70%
Compression time: cpu 0.66 sec/real 172.05 sec = 0%. Speed 1.61 mB/s
All OK
I will test a bit more.

Considering you mention srep not improving compression, this might be one of those cases that lolz:ldmf1 or RAZOR won't do much.

Same as above then.

Lepton. You can get it from Panker's Masked Compression v3.0.

If i remember correctly, srep+msc:mp32 can give ratios closer or superior in some cases to mpz, only drawback is that raw1 is disabled. Regarding BMP compression, i think lolz performs better than packBMF, might be wrong though.

[lolz]
Bufsize=512k
transfer_ReadBufSize=512k
transfer_WriteBufSize=512k
MaxThreadsUsage=25%
MaxMemoryUsage=25%

[Srep]
Bufsize=24m
transfer_ReadBufSize=512k
transfer_WriteBufSize=512k
Memory=512m
TempPath=.\

for srep+zstd usefall for ssd nvme super fast...
