OK, i've burn myself a copy of the utopia boot cd using NERO, but when i load it up in the Dreamcast it just goes to the music player screen. When i put the boot cd in my computer to check it out all that i saw on the disc is a file called GURKSAFT.TXT that has a couple words that look like they're german or something.
Other question: Since i have bad memories of having too many cd burning programs on my computer and "reformat c:" i am reluctant to install DiscJuggler in order to burn the CDI files. Do the CDI to ISO converters work well or will i just be making coasters? I would think that if the ISO format burned dc rips properly then the groups would be releasing ISO's, or bin/cue's. Since they are all releasing CDI's i'm assuming there must be some advantage to this format.
Thank you,
T.S.

I'll try to answer this one the best I can, so here we go:
1) When Utopia loads, there should be a spinning reindeer (no shit) onscreen, and a prompt to insert your backup disc. Possibly what's happening (by way of how you described the file layout) is that your burning program isn't burning all the tracks, Mode 2. Check this against your burn program, and try again. If you need a different image format, I have both bootdiscs (1.1 and 1.2) in almost all image formats (CDI, ISO, BIN, etc), so drop me a line. If everyone wants a different format, get me a place to upload them and I'll up both versions, all formats.
2) CDI-to-ISO is a VERY shitty conversion, and I have yet to see one work. If you're really hard-pressed against using DJ, I suggest a program called CDIrip, which I can also send you. It converts the CDIs to BIN/CUE format, but is VERY tricky to burn properly.
Hope this helps
