Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts
Well, at last... ;P
1) Copy contents of original DVD to disk in a folder called COH 2) Download data.rar file from here: data.rar and extract the contents in COH/Data directory This overwrites original install.lua and creates a new file called winmsg.exe 3) Burn DVD1 with all the contents of COH directory except for the files listed in next section (you can find this files in Data directory) 4) Burn DVD2 with this files in a directory called Data Code:

GERMAN version modification
oxide0, many thanks for your work!!
![]() I allowed myself to modify your install.lua so that it is (only) practicable for the GERMAN version of CoH:OF. (Fixed also the percentage indicator at the installation progress bar). Link: http://uploaded.to/?id=tc3ber Everythings else works as you described in your post above. |

It's the visual C++ redistributable... install it separately before installing the game and it should do the trick. Also, almost all games are now shipping with the VC++ Redistributable nowadays... just having it installed once separately would eliminate the need to go through its setup over and over again as some games upon uninstalling actually remove this too...

COMPANY OF HEROES + COH OPPOSING FORCES DVD9 to 2xDVD5
First, thanks to oxide0 for his dvd9 to 2xdvd5 conversion, i just did things differently cause after oxide0's conversion there is no room for updates on second dvd I kept file install sequence same as original in install.lua, of course there is more files to move to Disk2 because of that and now install progress indicator goes in right order. For those who have first Company of Heroes, i added 0 byte Company of Heroes.msi file in Disk2, so after install, updating and adding crack leave DVD2 in drive and you can go straight away to unlock original coh campaign with your serial and it verifies dvd2 as coh disk, so no need to put original coh disk in drive for this. After verification you don't need to have disk in drive to play. [1] Copy disk content to TEMP folder, example: COH [2] Download cohof_dvd9to2xdvd5.zip and extract it to TEMP folder. zip includes Code:
Disk1\Data\Install.lua Disk1\Data\winmsg.exe Disk1\Support\ Disk2\Data\ Disk2\autorun.inf Disk2\Company of Heroes.msi disk1files.txt disk2files.txt movefiles.bat NOTE: after running there should only be Disk1, Disk2 folders, disk1files.txt, disk2files.txt and movefiles.bat in your TEMP folder, if there is other folders/files then something went wrong [4] Add update/crack folder for patches/crack in Disk2 folder [5] Burn or make iso from Disk1 and Disk2 folders with label COH or label of your choice. Install sequence: DVD1-DVD2 DVD1 Size: 4,35 GB DVD2 Size: 3,38 GB without patches, 3,86 GB with patches/crack NOTE: When adding crack remember that latest patch v2.301 moves rs.dll from rs folder to validators\rs folder These files are copied/moved to Disk2\Data folder Copied Code:
Data\CoHOF.ico Data\Readme_English.txt Data\RelicCOH.mcl Data\RelicCOH_Icon.png All files starting with Code:
Blur* CXP1* Note: don't move CXP_FEMovie.avi, CXPCreditsMovie.divx, CXPCreditsMovie.lua CXP2* N0* Sandmap* SM* SR* Code:
Old film texture_1.avi temp1.avi temp2.avi WW2Data.sga WW2Locale-English.sga WW2Sound.sga WW2SoundHigh.sga WW2SoundLow.sga WW2SoundNISEnglish.sga WW2SoundSpeechEnglish.sga Last edited by ravd; 24-05-2008 at 10:30. |
