Reflate test
I'm new to reflate, I created this with the help from Bilawal and from the example done by GOZARCK.
How to test? Simply drag and drop a file onto reflate.exe, What is the command line usage of this? reflate inputfile outputfile What to do after reflate is done? Use a stronger compression. What are the dangers? (There are dangers but nothing serious) Save your work, this uses CPU like hell (Your PC might slow down). If you have a cpu with 8 cores, prepare for 100% cpu usage. Can I used this for a conversion? No, it's a test, final build will be done by bilawal. Can I unpack the file? No, it's just a test, decompression is still a problem... Reflate didn't the process file? what happened? Reflate only processes files that have deflate streams, if it doesn't then there is not point of using reflate on that file. Things to test: Errors (Bilawal has experienced some while testing it). Speed (it must be faster than equivalent while producing the same results). Things to do before testing: Disable Windows Defender or any other equivalent protection because that slows down reflate quite a lot. |

Reflate have a limit with the raw file. When write the last file FFFFFFFF.raw reflate start again and rewrite the 00000000.raw file with new info. How to choose the correct size of the game folder to reflate? 1gb 2gb?

Dec(FFFFFFFF) = 2^32 or 4294967296 then thats where it stops. It might be 7FFFFFFF and not FFFFFFFF I don't know, I'm new to reflate and I don't think I'll use it. @y_thelastknight how are you mate? The forum misses you. Last edited by Razor12911; 08-09-2015 at 16:36. |

OK, maximum number of files in a single folder supported by NTFS. then everything should work fine.
Q:Reflate.exe use level 9? |

Level 6, I tried level 4, 5, 7-9, size after stronger compression was bigger. About the maximum files in a folder, don't forget about raw2hif which can produce (FFFF FFFF x 2) + 2 files which is a lot but so far, reflate hasn't produced more than 100 000 extracted streams per file for me, precomp does the same but smarter, as soon as the raw files are extracted, they are merged to avoid having many files which is why it takes a lot of time when compared to reflate.

you have tried these DLLs, They may function as callback for progress in your application. (maybe itīs just an idea)
PD:this dll needs "raw2hif.exe". |

Thanks but if only knew what the dll exports were. So far, I can show progress in asc, also in inno setup or any other program while compressing or decompressing, I don't like bat windows popping up, plus I don't know if its worth it to add reflate in asc.
