Dungeon Keeper 2 update error

Everytime I try to update my game with the 1.7 update I get an error about an old file not found or something like that. Can anyone help me so I can update my game to version 1.7 ?

If it stops at 1%, you need a new game .exe.

By resurrecting a 6.5 year old thread, you broke the current record. Congratulations!

well its 2011 and I am going to once again open this thread up for discussion. Are there any accessible fixes for this? My patch doesn't even get to 1%, it stays at 0. I am running windows xp.

The "Old file not found" or similar error is a standard RTPatch message meaning that that particular file has been modified (overwritten with a crack, hacked with some program, whatever). Get it back from your backup, copy it from the original CD/DVD or reinstall the game, and try again.
