Alternative points for Origa chip install.
Finally, the cover came out but however, I discovered something interesting! My board is the ntsc scph-30000 and supposedly there are alternative points to solder the board but there aren't! I thought maybe it was me so I asked a bunch of my friends to look for those alternative points.
To my dismay, they do no exist on my board! ![]() |

Nope, I checked it over carefully. I'm pretty sure it's not there. Doh... Guess the only way to solder on the cpu.
Jumpstart: check out the installation diagrams for the 3000x. I need to find Q3 and M to mount the chip on the board. Both of those connections were nowhere to be seen. I found the spot exactly in the picture. But there's no place to solder at that location. Unless... it's on the board and I have to scratch away some of the board to see it! I guess once I figure that part out and solder the points on the cpu, it should be fine. Thanks in advance! Happy gaming! |

Q3 and M are any ground point on the board. you can use any of the large rectangular solder spots for that.
