Im not, its taken directly from NERO, I suggest you go and learn whats a DVD Writer can or cant do (depending on model) inc writing to DVD media in RAW modes.

I think my input was damn site more info that the 2 slaggers, 1 of them being you.

You want to argue it, take it up with Pioneer, Nero and Alcohol.

BTW, that thread is as full of n00b peeps as this one, the dvd writer can write CD/CDRW sure but the RAW mode isnt just for CD's, I have backed up games using Alcohol and its uses RAW mode, cause you drop down menu and choose your method and YES the games were DVD-ROM and I was using DVD R or DVD RW media.

End of story is that guy was correct, you 2 slagged him and werw wrong, now Im off to test brand new build of alcohol copying my game from DVD ROM to DVD R in RAW mode

I've used one of his phrases but i'm not Spath (btw in contrast to me a respected expert regarding optical media)

- All the modes listed by you/Nero are CD write modes
- even if there was a DVD RAW mode this wouldn't help with Securom or Starforce as they use special physical characteristics and not data that can't be written. Tages "only" uses twin sectors with different content -> no need for RAW mode, too. Maybe with Safedisc one may benefit of a RAW mode (hush... we'll soon see emulated copies of Safedisc DVD's, can't tell more for the moment )

All copies of DVD titles are emulated ones (if emulation is needed), e.g. Alcohols RMPS emulates correct delays between checked sectors, or duration of reading sector(s)

P.S. I'd love to see an image of Alcohol's drop down menu for DVD write method

Tippex I wasnt refering to you in my post it was Zulu (yes you both said he was wrong but you never really slagged him) but regardless you dont tell anyone here what to do, your the 2 telling someone they are wrong when you both dont have a clue what your talking about, in this day of WWW.GOOGLE.COM, you could have gotten info before talking crap.

So moral of this story is "Get your facts straight and engage brain before you open your mouth and let your belly rumble"

My post was lot more helpful than you 2 telling someone something thats wrong.

Zulu you are totally clueless, I have stated 2x above for the Teac that may be the case as it cant burn DVD media, but the Pioneer can and I have burned RAW mod copying my games from DVD Rom to DVD R or DVD RW in Alcohol, so you need go and grab trail of this app and get a proper DVD Writer, as even mines is old now and does RAW burning.

And for your info Secure Rom can be copied in Alcohol, Starforce offically in last build (not looked in yesterdays new build) cant, but you can get it to work if you use a DVD-RW, if you use DVD R it a coaster, Ive did this many times, Nero can copy Starforce games if you know whats your doing and are more advanced and can use Full Nero not Express (hint its same settings you would change to back up Xbox games or make a DVD you burn compatable with older standalones).

Im not going to take this any further, cause I know you dont have a clue and will a 3rd time state the Pioneer is only RAW for CD media, but hey I dont need prove anything, I can see in Nero Info Tool and back up my games in RAW mode to DVD Media in Alcohol.

Of course SecuRom can be copied (btw. since the first release of BW5); did i say something different; they are emulated RMPS-copies which won't run without Alcohol/Daemon installed + RMPS activated. And speaking of Starforce: Yes, many 3.7.16 titles can be copied with Nero or any other DVD capable burning app (due to their new file blocking they dropped ATAPI check, so copy runs in every IDE drive), BUT only when using "fitting" media (not just DVD-RW) which means similar physical characteristics as original media.
btw. do you really think you can fool Starforce (<3.7.16) by changing Booktype ?

With your "knowledge" this seems to be a good decision. Otherwise in the end someone might think you don't know how to use GOOGLE.

To speak in Spath's words again: Could you stop posting nonsense now ?

You are a IDIOT so STFU and stop slagging others who know more than you ever will, telling peeps they are wrong and making fun of them is Lame but then again you are a LAMER.

Everything I said above is true and can be proved by anyone who has half a brain and a semi decent DVD Writer and last few builds of Alcohol.

It wasn't my intention to slag eXe, if my sarcasm was kind of offending i have to apologize. Sorry, eXe.

@Halfbrainer
As i don't want to post offtopic anymore, i suggest you to open a new thread called "Proper DVD-RAW Soft-/Hardware" (subtitle: F*** standards)

@temp regarding banning, im afraid that its most likely you that will be banned if you keep you attitude up..... simply by the fact that zulu at least apologised and tried to calm the situation, you on the other hand was abusive again....

its for the mods to decide of course..
