i talked to someone with a Magic2 (which i also have) and he says he can go online with backups and originals. I dont see how that happens when i try an original game online i get the 403 error. So i dont know how he is doing this, unless he added a switch.
I hope they figure something out so we can continue to use the noswap modchips. but if i have to i will go with the no-solder type just to play online. Im still trying to figure out what and how what programs to use. I have used cdmage and ultraISO to patch the img file without any luck. I used dvd decrypter to create the ISO file and burn again without any luck. what are you guys using and how? thanks

The magic 2 guy is probably talking about old ps2 games that dont have DNAS.

yeah it's funny, with original disk, dnas detects your modchip but with patched game , it can't see your modchip
forget about ultraiso, you need cdmage & cd/dvdgen. cdmage opens only ISOs larger than 4GB (socom2, MOH Rising sun) and for other games smaller than 4GB, you should rebuild the image with cd/dvdgen. you should patch socom2 only with cdmage otherwise you can't get pass dnas checking. |

lol need for speed undergound works lol im useing a copy online and a dms3 loaded just fine
i knew they could do it with the patchs alot of people on newz said it wouldnt work due to this and that lol but it works great i might not even have to use swap style to play online.

others are saying another good program is WinImage. they had good success with it.

i just loaded both lotr rotk and nfsu underground copys online with both magic 3.1 and dms3 seems like when u use a copy it dose not detect the mod chips

I was actually kind of hoping this thread would just die, but it doesn’t look like it is. Nah just kidding, but seriously how long do you think its going to take Sony to update the server at there end and put and end to this. Not long I'm thinking.

but u do know if sony some how black list the ids that we used theres going be alot of PO poeple that owns the origianls or rent the origianls that has them ids on it and they can repatch all the old games but if they do update it someone will just crack it again

they cant blacklist the IDs. the games have their own IDs, like NFS underground will have an ID which is the same ID for every game. SOcomII is a game where it has multiple IDs. What i dont understand is how poeple are going online with modchips on and they couldnt with the original game? thats

i read the dnas271.img on the iso dose not check for mods but the dnas280.img checks for mods so games with 271 will not detect mods but 280+ will heres the post i read this on
Actually word is 271 and below work fine with anymod but 280 and above do not. So if has anyone tried a 280+ with a mod. I know RE outbreak is 280 JAP. |
