Can you paste nfo? I want to see if they admitted stealing the crack, or claiming to have done it themselves :P

TNT? I have not seen any 1.61 crack from TNT and can't see any reason for them to do so either..!

iND did the job fine and then Carbon released the 2k fix... What could TNT do? Well I guess they came up with a reason just to do it...

I applaud those crackers for having motivation to make no-cd, even if they don't like to play the game.

@osco: If you're such a great hacker that you suppose yourself to be - I have no idea; I can judge you only from what you write in this forum, nothing else! - then, please, crack this game update properly - and play it through, too, to see it that it really has been cracked properly! - and upload it to GCW. Then, I assure you, you'll be considered a useful member of this forum. Until you actually come up with something substantial, you're considered to only be bitching around - probably without knowing what you're talking about.

As for the childish way of thinking... Does playing through a game require such an amount of practice and prior (self-)education as cracking the game (properly)? Oh, PLEEZ...

to crack or not to crack

first of all as i said i did not come here for a crack, i paid for one game this year and that was civ iv so i just leave the cd in the drive since thats the only game i play..

there are other things that can and did bring me to this forum.. do i really have to explain that to you as well...
as for playin Civ and cracking a game i can tell you now that to master Civ IV
is the same as trying to master chess.. it takes a lifetime to do it and it has to be played as deply as chess to be played properly... hence i am ofended when some numnuts puts it down when i and you know that he has not even played 10 turns....

learning to make a no_cd for some does not take long and for others it takes
a long time but i can assure you that to master this art is nothing compared to mastering a game of chess.... the two simply cannot be compared.

Okay, you've answered my second paragraph. How about the first?

crackproof

To answer your first paragraph I would first have to understand the question

You are either asking me to prove myself..
Or you are someone who loves Civ IV so much that you would really love to have a no-cd patch that actually works
For whatever reason

I can only judge you from what you write so...

My guess is you are asking me to prove myself to you....
I have nothing to gain by proving something to you, do I ?

Remember I did not bitch about a crack.... I just can't stand people that say hash things about anything when I know they
Don't have a clue about it.... And I bet you are the same way..

@osco: You wrote: "The guy who tried to do the fixed exe for civ from PC game must be about 5 years old you can tell because of the total lack of intelligence
First it takes him 3 times to do the fix and it probably still has problems and 2 he cant figure out how to play the game and tries to say the reason is that its boring..... We all know that you just cant figure it up cause your either stupid or too young in the mind, probably both....."

Thus, you are bitching about the quality of the crack. Also, you still haven't proved that you would be able to crack it properly; actually, you haven't even proved that you are capable of cracking anything at all. In that case, you do seem to be someone who bitches about something that he was given for free, while he doesn't even know how much work was put into that free product. "Shut up!" and similar answers are quite appropriate in such cases.

You may be right about the incompetence of the crackers being unable to play the game thoroughly enough, to check whether the crack is proper or not. However, even if you are capable of playing the game, you are also incompetent to crack it properly. If you're unable to crack the game at all (0%), who are you to complain to someone who was able to mostly crack the game (9x%)?

According to what you wrote as far, you made an idiot of yourself and you're getting more and more entangled into it. On the other hand, there's absolutely no need to explain or prove anything about yourself. But then don't bitch about the cracks either. Instead, be patient, and some time a really proper crack may become available.

This noCD thing remind me of old days of late 80ties and early 90ties, when the main copy protection where in game quizes about something that can be only found in the manual.

Of course, early pirates dealt with this in similar way as today is done with noCD checks.

The sneaky thing that developers introduced was that some games had such check somewere in the middile of the game, and not only at start, which someone who casually played the game would not find out, and not make a workaround.

Mostly it referred to the same call in the protection. All checks throughout the game pointed to the same function and so crackers could make that function always return a valid number.

Right, that's enough name calling for today. Back on topic please, and the first one to throw another stone gets a ban.

I can't understand why PcGame released yet another crack for this game. There were already 2 working ones... I'll never understand that honestly..
