After November 25, Currently buried with exams and as soon as I get my hands on Delphi XE3 because I don't have it anymore.

Well, under the Resources section, there's only Executable, Media [Internal] & Tasks in version 2.7 Beta, where's all the rest? Registry, Media [External] Etc, ?

I tend to use the Registry option to force a specific DisplayName value in the default registry entries the installers created with the program put in the registry and it's gone in 2.7 Beta.

Lol bro, there everything is there, I didn't remove any feature in v2.7 from v2.5, I only rearranged, there is a scrollbar under resources bro, if it is not there then click on one of items on the list then press down with your keyboard.registries, media internal, media online and etc, they are there.

I didn't have a scrollbar there but I'll check it again when I get the time.

EDIT: OK, now I'm embarrassed, I uninstalled 2.5.1 and installed 2.7 again and now it is there.

Either I installed it over 2.5.1 previously which caused bugs or I just missed it somehow.

Well, I guess I'll use 2.7 a bit and see.

One thing though that is missing from all versions if you ask me is the options to set files & folders to exclude.

Also, a suggestion, for the installer designer section, maybe make it possible to edit each install screen separately, right now, using multi background images doesn't give much control, if you can edit each install screen individually then it should be possible to set which BG to show on each screen and re-position items to match the BGs for each screen.

I did what you said and is working now!!! I just think that this you told me should be included in the tutorial for noobs like me, also a little of explanation on the parameters, cuz I use task 1, and the component on 1 and nothing on the folder was compressed, I remove those and worked, so, if someone told us what for are those parameters would be nice.

I'm very very happy that now

there already is a tutorial for noobs. the GUI may look different, but the functions are exactly the same. just read the first-post

I have a small problem with Installer Creator 2.7 Beta, it seems no matter what font I choose and whether I choose Bold or not the texts in the text areas & in the smart installer get this blur effect after building the setup, you don't see the blur effect in Installer creator though, maybe blur isn't quite the right word, some sort of blurry shadow effect that shouldn't be there, just take a look at the attached images to see what I'm talking about.


UPDATE: When opening the same ICP file in version 2.51, fixing the necessary settings and building using 2.5.1, same fonts it looks perfectly fine and readable.

oh, black shadows, they are always there, the only problem is if you choose black, they will appear to be ugly. You can fix this problem by yourself by if you are impatient . just update the script from the source. Look for anything that has to do with shadow, like createshadow and.or updateshadow, you will see Top:= x + y and Left:= x + y, just remove the y addition part and you will be good to go. oh, and don't forget to replace compiler.exe after changes.

Well, OK, I'll try, but those shadows aren't there in version 2.5.1, just so you know, either that or the offsets for the shadows were smaller and it makes it look fine.
