sorry guys , bcos I usually post a little image with my post . and i didnot read carefully the rule . I ll never do it again
Oh my Engl is poor , i know that so it was a little try from me

Yup .
I ve found a little introduction installing from one 4rum

".........really it is a collection , i dont know who wrote it , so forget me if some one reconize where it came from "

....................................

GT Legends (Applies to Demo also) - Protected by Starforce 3.6.10.06

This is what I had to do to run this game from image file. It may be more information than you need or want but it all factors into my eventual success.

First off, it is worth noting that I have an NForce4 MB, which means the Starf*&k and Staforce Nightmare tools are not necessary.
This is apparent after reading the below quote from the DT Forum:

A special note for nForce 3/4 users

The IDE controller that is used on nForce 3/4-based motherboards cannot be directly addressed by today's copy protections;
as a result, SCSI blacklists don't work on those systems. If you are fortunate enough to have an nForce 3/4-based system,
you should be able to run all the latest SafeDisc-, SecuROM- and StarForce-protected games with your IDE CD/DVD drives
plugged in and working. Edit: This doesn't always seem to work, and sometimes it works only with some copy protections.

(You can read the above thread in it''s entirety here: http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/showthread.php?t=7576 )

The same forum, though, also says the following:

The combination of nForce 4, SATA, StarForce 3 and Daemon Tools v4 leads to a reboot. We know this and are investigating it.

(Again, you can read the above thread in it''s entirety here: http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/showthread.php?t=7353)

But, the statement that having an Nforce 3/4 blocks current protection schemes is apparently only valid if you are running the Nvidia IDE Drivers, not the native Windows IDE drivers. This also is what negates the need for the usual Star Force tools mentioned above. I was a little hesitant to install the Nvidia IDE Drivers, as many reported nothing but grief and problems running them. So, I installed Version 6.70 for XP of the Nvidia IDE Drivers. Absolutely no problems during the install, or as of this time. Also, I am running one SATA drive and several PATA drives; it is necessary to put the image file on an SATA drive and also install the game to an SATA drive. The reason why is that you will have to disable all of your PATA IDE devices. Many have had to do this by actually unplugging the power or ribbon cables but with Nforce3/4, this is not necessary!

The first thing to do is remove all traces of SF from your sustem, from any other previous attempts to install and run games protected by it? Star Force makes a tool I used to accomplish this, obtainable here:

http://www.onlinesecurity-on.com/protect.phtml?c=55

Make sure your virtual drive letter is the first free one after all physical drives. I am not sure if this is necessary, but I read of others doing so and so I did the same. I could not achieve success with Alcohol, but DT 4.00 worked, with all Emulation options turned on.

Go into Windows Hardware Device Manager and find the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers selection; you will see "Nvidia NForce 4 Parallel ATA Controller" - right-click it and select disable. You will have to reboot.

Mount and install the game using DT 4.00 - remember, install it to your SATA drive. Move a copy of your image file to same SATA drive.

After installing, run the game. You may get a crash and reboot or the BSOD? If not, the game will want to reboot to check the Star Force protection. Go ahead and reboot.

After rebooting, either by choice or by crash, you must run the following update, referred to as "Star Force Fix"

http://www.gt-legends.com/demo_en.php

Another reboot will be triggered. Running the game again from your DT 4.00 virtual drive, you will be asked for your Key. Type it in and it will check the disk ... could take some time but you shoud be able to play now!

(When done playing, you will have to re-enable your PATA IDE controller.)

.................

So , I think that , with this methode , we dont have to care so much a bout crak or something , personnally , I have followed theses steps and the rest is borrow a friend of mine a little CD key if he dosent might
Thanks for ur notice !

Nope! Don't borrow any kind of CD key from anyone; use your own!

I have found a way that works for me, to play GT Legends without unplugging my dvd drive.

after installing however you want...

1. Mount the image.
2. Launch sfn
3. disable node
4. disable cd
5. disable cd again
6. disable cd AGAIN

This works every time for me. The image is on an ide drive.

I Have tried this on 2 different machines now, with different chipsets and CPU's and it works for both. I made my image with sf3 profile in alcohol 120% at 4x.

may not work for everyone, but it sure works here.

Yeah, and the name of both chipset start with "nForce"? Can you test it on even more PC's and list the exact names of the chipsets where this solution worked, without having the unplug physical CD/DVD-ROM drives?

Man you're a cynical old bugger aren't ya!!
Everytime I post you ride me...

FYI no...neither computer has an nforce chipset. Mine is an old MSI Kt7 Delta FIS2R (VIA KT600), and my girlfriends is a WinFast 755FXK8AA-8EKRS (SiS755FX). I Have tried on my htpc (which IS an nf4 board) and it doesn't work. like I said....It works for some but not for others.

Have a little possitivity in your attitude dude...you sound like the glass is always half empty.

Peace

Posts without real information, such as chipset names, only create rumors, which are even worse than no information at all. (I would say that, until the Daemon Tools or Alcohol Soft crew confirm it officially - the former confirmed only nForce 3/4 so far -, all such guides that exclude the disconnection of physical CD/DVD-ROM drives are rumors.)

(I'm sorry if you think I'm deliberately pissing you off every time you do a post. First, you're not on my black list; second, I sometimes piss off everyone. Third, you may want to include more information in your posts before sending them in so that there will be nothing left for me to piss you off about.)

lol...sweet as dude...I didn't really think you were having a go...

I posted at the DT forums a couple of days ago about this subject, but so far only nforce users have tried it and as I said before, it doesn't work on my nforce4 mobo either.

But I am waiting for someone else with a different one to try it...

All i know is that it works for me on my old gaming box, and on my girlfriends newer box (VIA and SIS chipsets respectively). And when it comes down to it, that is all that matters ay.

btw...what real information am I forgetting to post? I posted my chipset and that i'm running the image off an ide drive (forgot to add parallel) and from what I can tell so far that seems to be all that matters with sf...but then again, I'm probably wrong...

Full system specs for my crappy gaming rig:

athlon xp 2400+
MSi kt6 delta fis2r (VIA kt600)
1024mb ram
cyber drive dvd/rw
3 x pata hard drives
1 x sata hard drive
cheapy 450w psu
legend 6600gt (overclocked a lil' bit)
onboard sound/lan

sata drive only has music and videos on it, all os and game files are on pata drives
any more detailed info just ask

peace

I have an older PC that for some reason, just wont let Windows XP be installed on it. Rather than dispose of it, I looked for a way to use it, with Windows 2000, which installed and worked fine. I removed the CD/DVD drive and made it my Starforce only rig. Yes, it has an nForce 3 ASUS motherboard in it, so I made a 1 to 1 copy of two games, GT Legends and Splinter Cell, and copied them over via the network, loaded them with Daemon and they both work perfectly. Although I'd rather have Starforce-free versions of these games, this was a good use for an old machine.
