There is no difference between both games (protection).
The only difference is the choice made by the mods of this forum: do not talk about cracks for this game since it has Online Activation.
If you buy the game you must have an internet Connection - I think the cover state that.
That's all.

Actually, I think Two Worlds was the one who started.

Two Worlds has Online Activation but was cracked in patch 1.2 with an Activation keygen (I think it was created by the group "razor 1911") because it was a proprietary system. Securom online activation (paul) is more strong and crack groups has a hard time trying to break it.
Relic also uses online activation but never update the protection after the initial release of CoH:OF. That why GCW still points to the original "rs.dll" (cracked by FLT) when a new crack comes out.

Took them two weeks for both Bioshock and Mass Effect to be cracked. Tages's Solidshield it's still tougher to crack. Sooner or later, the online activation will be cracked in a day, just like the other protections. I have both Bioshock and Mass Effect on my PC (just finished Bring down the sky DLC for ME and it was a very disappointing experience) and I must say I'm not gonna repeat the mistake buying AITD V. I pay for my games, but with online activation, I just pay for a product that will be useless after my 3 activations are expiring. I'm really not okay with that. At least Two Worlds had the decency not to limit your activations. AT AITD V you get a limit and a DVD check. If they don't follow Bioshock's example and remove the activation limit, they won't see my money. As for mass Effect, i just couldn't resist to a Bioware game, but I still don't like the limit on the activations.

The 3 activations are nothing bad, once up you just apply for 3 more etc.

If you have given your game to someone else and they have activated the game etc then you will probably not get the 3 without a very very serious excuse.

@efsanera - wrong portion of the forum to post, what you have done is effectively hijack the thread... but well, lets help you... (just don't do it again)

1. does the problem happen if you use the original exe and the original disk?
2. does the game crash, give some error (if so, post it) or just magically exit?

(Those two posts were moved here from the CD-2-DVD forum; they were off-topic there.)
