Hi guys,

Just finished my exams and thought might try out this great game.
But trying various methods for the last six hours still no luck. I will be very grateful if someone and get me through this.

CD tools installed:-
- Daemon Tools 4.08
- Nero 6

Here's what I can tell you.
1. Firstly I'm confused about which version I have (I got it from a friend)
But in the registry I have this,
Code:
[..] -> [PENDULO Studios] -> [RUNAWAY 2 - The dream of the turtle] -> [2.00.FRA]
Does that mean its the French version ?

2. The size crack I found in the crack folder tell me its the reloaded crack. (2.17MB)

3. Protection ID tells me this,
Code:
-=[ ProtectionID v5.2b ]=- (c) CdKiller & [x/xxx]
Build 16-11-2006....
> Ready

Scanning -> D:\RUNAWAY2\Runaway2.exe
File Type : Exe, Size : 3416064 (0342000h) Bytes
[!] Tages v5.5 (or higher) protected !
[!] protection level: Tages BASIC
- Scan Took : 0.734 Seconds
4. My PC config -
Code:
AMD X2 4400+
2 GB RAM
X1900 XT 512 MB
1 Liteon DVD ROM
1 Plextor DVD-RW
(I have latest ATI tools installed and running)
5. Now about the Problem:- I installed the game, copied and overwritten the original exe. But no matter whichever crack I apply I get this error :

(I have tried Reloaded/Vitality/Revolver cracks, all of them one by one)

Code:
Runaway2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
And when I press Debug Visual Basic always gives me this error:

Unhandled Exception in Runaway.exe: 0xC0000005: Access Violation

and then it points to this instruction:

Code:
00415E2D mov edx,dword ptr [eax]
6. I have tried using a full image (made one with Alcohol) and used it with YASU 1.05. Never worked,
-Mounted the image
- Ran YASU 1.05
- Ran Runaway2.exe

it keeps asking:

Code:
Please Insert CD of "Runaway 2"
Its asking for a CD ?! I dont get it.
Did I get the steps right ?

7. I even tried it on another PC, with P-4 2.4GHz, 1 GB RAM, Raedon 9800 Pro.

- Same result with the image procedure, annoying insert CD message.
- With the cracks, the exe appears on the taskbar for a sec and then disappears.

Sorry to write such looong post. I tried to give out as much information as I could 'casue I really wanna play this game. Please help.

Well, I did.
He burnt the image on a DVD and gave it to me.
It was probably the Reloaded release.

Well maybe he renamed the folder. I don't know..

I read some more and i see that YASU is only for secuROM and shouldn't work with Tages which I have.

So the Reloaded crack is the only solution for me ? But why does it crash on both my PCs while others are playing just fine ?

I used HEdit Pro 2.1, but you can use Hexworkshop or any other Hex editopr really.

My NoDVD is now hosted on GCW now anyway:

Read the forum FAQ. Also, disable EAX and change the sound acceleration level in Control Panel.
