Guess what, you need to READ the RPMS information from the original...

Grab the Image and Follow the Instructions.. Shoot me any questions: This worked for me by trial and Error Perfectly Twice.

Update Stronghold 2 to version 1.3. Use ingame Update it works great!

1. Install Alcohol 120%- Restart Your Computer.
2. Disable All virtual drives in Alcohol 120%
3. Under Options Enable Sub-Channel burning for SecuRom Games.
(Middle of 3 Options)
4. Burn the Image(“Needs Emulation) as a “NormalCD” at 40x or lower.
5. Once Image is written Uninstall Alcohol 120% - Restart Your Computer
6. In Daemon Tools v4.03 (or Higher) Enable only RMPS emulation.
7. Insert the Newly Burnt Cracked Image in a PHYSICAL CD-ROM Drive!
8. Play the Game & Get Owned by Sir Dieselbrad!

Could you, please, try without step 6 (enabling RMPS emulation in Daemon Tools) and report back if it still works? Thanks!

Without RMPS Emualtion The EXE tries to authenticate the CD-ROM until it times out. (about 90 Sec)
I was unable to get it running properly with Alcohol 120% without Extra Tools and Since DaemonTools is Free I would recommend keeping it in the System tray as it is not a bloated software.

SecuRom (SH2.exe)also can not detect the virtual drives in DTv4.03 so no disabling then re-enabling crap as you would with Alcohol 120%.

This is a great Game. FireFly did an excellent job on this one.

Hi... I've just downloaded the Image. As per the instruction,
1 - Installed Alcohol 120%
2 - Restart Pc
3 - Used a Blank CDR (Haven't tried CDRW or DVDRW) to
burn the Image using Alcohol 120% with "Normal CD" settings
4 - Uninstall Alcohol 120% (if not then "emulations detected")
5 - Restart Pc
6 - Start Daemon Tools 4.03, set emulation at RMPS only.
7 - Must insert the Burned CD.
8 - Start the Game....

It worked for me... tried many times... it worked.!!!

Note: You have to burn the cd... u can't put it on virtual drive...

The only thing is that I still need to insert the CDs but now I don't need to use the original disc to play but can only use the backup cds. At least I am confident that my ori disc will be not be damaged.

@Dieselbrad: Thanks. I just didn't believe Daemon Tools, similarly to Alcohol 120%, could emulate RMPS from a physical media, as well! (Where's the manual anyway? There's none in the distribution package and the Manual menu item of the system tray icon leads to a non-existing URL, too! Or am I really this dumb? )

i think this instruction works better for the most gamers as the only with alcohol version.

i test it with this instructions on my girlfriends pc. with the "only alcohol" instruction it didn t work. but with the new demon tools 4.03 it works fine.

i think it must be work for everyone with this method.

Ok im kinda new at this, ok so i got the cd image and i burnt it as an image with alcohol, I hope that is what u mean by "original" cause thats the only way i no how to burn with alcohol. Then i put it in and got demon tools and click the game and it sits for like 90 secnds and then times out and say timed out or dumtin like that, anyone know why it did that

When u start ur daemon tools remember to set emulation to only RMPS and no other..., Also remember that u need to UNINSTALL Alcohol 120% or u won't be able to go past the blacklisting part... or ya.. it's quite slow to load about between 1-2mins...

oh Dieselbrad heh heh... sorry... didn't see that u've already provided instruction on how to use the image..... most of the people out there doesn't want to waste a blank CD... oh well a blank CD is much cheaper than losing an Ori CD...

Yah ok i got that part to work now it says cannot find original disk and i have the image disk in, what do i do now

Sounds to me like you need to set RMPS in Daemon tools.(& ONLY RMPS) You do not need any anti-blacklisting tools that just complicates the matter.
Be sure those are not hiding anything also.

Try this: Double-Click on "My Computer" and Look at the Drive in which the image is in. In my case F:

If the Drive labels the image as NEEDS EMULATION guess what? You Need to set RMPS in Daemon tools On. Google it if your unsure.

Send me a scrrenshot if it still isn't working. I'll try to help much as I can.
Also I need OS & version, IDE or Sata configuration and Image software.

@gamer_kid: "Original" means original; the CD('s)/DVD('s) you bought in the shop. Do you have them? You can't make a working backup from a copy, you know.
