I have a SB Live and I've stopped using Creative's official drivers from the age of Colin McRae 2005 where I couldn't have smooth sound. Tomb Raider also has that problem with Live 24bit on my friend's system.

I've read about this problem during time and I believe that is Creative's fault, the official driver sucks. I'm using an unofficial driver pack and I've skipped those problems for various games (CMR05, EvolutionGT etc)

Anyone who wants to try can find it at: h**p://kxproject.lugosoft.com
and see if it corrects his sound in Legend too
