Hey after 2 days trying to get it working i finally done it and this is how.
1 get anti blaxx and the patch for it.find the folder where anti blaxx is install and extract the patch to it and replace it. 2 you ll need dameon tools aswell 3 install them both 4 get the image for dow wa 5 open anti blaxx go to settings where it says dameon tools click on it and find the exe for dameon tools 6 then click first game click protection and i choose securerom 7 7 then go to game option and find the w40kwa.exe and select it 8 click mount image and then choose use daemon tools 9 then put the image in where it says image. Now goto daemon tools and mount the dow wa image there aswell turn off all emulation options. The game should start click play and you should be able to play it. let me know if it works for you or if ya have any questions.

GUYS AFTER 3 DAYS OF TRING TO RUN WINTER ASSAULT AND USING ALL IDEAS I FOUND THE SOLUTION!!!!!!
YOU HANE TO DOWNLOAD THE IMAGE FROM GAME COPY WORLD WITH 24.5MB!!!!USE THE NEW VERSION OFF ALCOHOL 120% 1.9.5. INSTAL THE GAME WITH IT AND MOUND THE IMAGE THATS END IN .BWT  AND THE GAME WORKS!!!!!!! IT WILL PASS THE PROTECTION AND THE NO SAY AGAIN PUT THE AUTHENTIC CD  THATS ALL !!!!! ENJOY THE GAME

Pretorian, I just tried that in Alcohol 120% and it didn't work.
I get the same 'cd not found or authonticated' message.  Are there any options that should be enabled?EDIT: And I'm not even going to bother with antiblaxx, from what I've heard it royally screws over your cd drives...

Worked perfectly!
Maxtor you're a genius... tried all other methods including the images and nothing but as soon as i changed the file name to Disk1Check OLD.EXE and tried to run the game from the installs shortcut an install box came up and requested both the disks... install finished game started... when i looked in the directory again it had created a new Disk1Check.EXE but the game now works all the time. Many thanks not sure if i need a no-cd crack now

Found a way to make it work
OK guys for those of you who have a Blindwrite version (and are to cheap to go buy the game) I have found a way to make winter assault work with a bit of hassle but it should be worth it. Now on with it:
1> Keep the .BWA file but move it (not copy) or cut and paste into another Folder why not call the folder BWA 2> Have only tried it on Daemon Tools v3.47 so im not sure if it will work on highers i guess it should 3> Try to have DoW v1.40 (not sure if 1.0 will work or another version for that fact) 4> Test DoW v1.40 (note this is just what i did) 5> Install Winter Assault 6> Move .BWA file back into CD1 of Winter Assault 7> Turn on Securom emulation in daemon tools reason for this is becasue it will emulate the certain files on the original cd that are not there in the burned copy thus allowing it to be read with less error 8> change the file disk1check.exe to disk1check.exe.bak (idea form someone elses post good idea guy) 9> then run Winter Assault through i believe the .BWT file or W40kWA.exe Also would like to note I am not using the Mini Image and no it doesnt work this way but you'll need teh .BWT file in daemon tools to play though If all else fails just keep trying different ideas mix and match them until it works for you.

Well, I tried ALL the solutions over this point but NO ONE worked!
I think my problem is the following: I cant mount the bwt file from the crack! Daemon Tools v4 says "File not accesable!" Please help me. P.S.: I got the 2nd cd and a key cause the 1st cd has been crashed ba my little sister! DonSailieri Last edited by DonSailieri; 26-12-2005 at 02:45.
