Some burners wont burn on mode 2. It all depends on your
bruner. Mine it doesnt matter. Others it does.

Hmm I have suceeded using DJ 3.00.755 for my selfboots from non self boot images using the extract tracks feature to build a CDI image that can be written to in DAO mode. This way I can use raw to write and so overburn. I tried to make Grandia 2 disk 1 selfboot but when trying to burn the disk it stops at 99% with an invalid command descriptor. The whole image is 81:55 so I use 90 min CDRs. I have successfully overburnt using mode 1 for normal PC data so I guess my Plextor 1210A can overburn and that was on a 90min CDR with a single mode 1 data track of 89:15. My question is does my CD writer or is DJ limited to CDXA mode 2 below 81mins? Any help on this would be much appreciated as I can't work it out. I have succeeded burning Soulcalibur selfboot but that only came to 80:30 and could be overburnt to a 80min CDR with no errors being produced by DJ..

This is a really good post it has a lot of really good information. There are just some modifications that should be made to the settings if you are burning Dreamcast games using a Mistumi burner in Disc Juggler. I have a Mitsumi 4802 TE and I thought I would help people out who have been having problems burning dreamcast games with this type of burner. These settings are from Disc Juggler 3.x but should be universal for 2.x.

Under defaults have only the things checked that are stated here.
Read ISRC/UPC
Raw Read/Write
Ignore Read Errors
Burn-Proof
Write
Cache CD
CDDB
Overburn CD

I know in the Big Poppa help post it tells you not to have anything check in the Misc box in the advanced settings tab when burning a cd. But with the Mitsumi leave whatever is in there checked to have the best success rate you possible can.

I hopes this helps you people out and cuts back on the coasters

Hi I'm kind of a newbie on burning DC isos.
I haven't figure out what when I should use "mode1" or "mode2" and what block size to use (talking about .cdi, DiscJuggler format I think). I can choose between 3 different sizes. Some iso-pack doensn't include a .nfo or the .nfo doesn't mention what mode, block-size etc to use...

I can see from this thread that TOC: CD-ROM, Offset: 0 and uncheck all the Misc option, but how do I know what options I'm gonna use? Any tips?
