Is there any burners that one should avoid? I mean some that just plain don't work?

I got a Toshiba SD-R5112 from NewEgg for 70 bucks.

Just stick to name brands. Stay away from those $80 burners you see in the ads in the newspaper.

Its not so much the XBox as the DVD-Rom.

we may just have to stick to ripping dvd9 games if thats the case i just hope they work better in dvds then that report on the ps2

just think about the ps3 that hits in 05 BD-rom disk 25 gigs each lol its going to be fun ripping one of them.

Last time I looked I don't think you can steal a DVD-Rom out of any PS2 than stick it back in any version PS2 can you? Nice thing about the XBox is, all the parts are interchangeable.

you can't add any dvd-rom from any ps2. i was trying to be sarcastic but, with text it's hard to get that sarcastic sound to it.
