well, the xbox will read iso's smoother, no argue there. But after i closed the disk, the loading wasn't too far off. Hardly noticable.

btw, the dvd-rom might be reading more, but don't get the idea that it will die out on you. DVD roms are made to last. I mean, when playing a movie, it is reading the disk the whole time. (btw, when u do the databurn and it reads like that, it is mosy likely the media).

i am new to this forum, and i dont want to offend anyone...

Quall999

there is a big difference, even if u put dummy files with the burn...
as to using good media, i always backup my games with either Riteks ,but mostly with Verbatim , which is known to be 1 of the best medias for X-BOX/ PS2...

as for the clicking noise's, it is very worrying listening to it...

i have 2 box's :

v1 with X-Bit , maxtor 120gig HD
v1.5 with Executer 2.2 lite, maxtor 120gig HD

both tested the same...

really it does'nt take that much longer to make an ISO image.

Craxtion makes a perfect ISO and patches the game at same time, although with my modchips and bios's i have ,it makes no difference to me whether i need to patch. but the program patches them automatically anyway.

the only difference i can see it make is when u want to make another backup of the disk u already have.
u can do a straight copy off the fly with data burn's.
but with ISO's ,u need to extract it to your pc first , then burn the ISO.

I have always used the Craxtion then burned to Princo at 1x or even 2x and never had a problem....Except for the Swat....hehe.....No one can figure it out.....Oh well....Last time I got dvd's I got a couple of Gigastorage which is made by Ritek and they worked great.....I still use Princo and Ritek,,,,Depending on my mood....I have never done a multi disk yet...Haven't really found two that I want on the same disk
