Just an opinion... *written n00b friendly* ripped games sucks for many reasons. The most obvious are the following:
1) Missing Movies, music, features - Without movies you lose the feeling of the game. For example RPG's... when a movie part is coming it just jumps to the next playable part, missing the story of the game. Why any1 could want to play an RPG with no story? Other games that rely on unlocked goodies to improve replay value also suffer this type of things. After you work your A$$ off unlocking new stuff it jus would play an intro movie or something... I hate that thing 2) Bad layout of data can and will break your PS2 - I just read it here on a sticky post. So what I do is I get a rip version of the game and if I like its system/engine I would get the dvd version. But again there are games that are ripped by skilled groups that rather than just remove things they downsample movies, music making them more enjoyable like socom. --- Yesterday my friend bought Xenosaga and obviously I couldnt copy it (Diskjuggler (*at least for me) wont even try to make an image! It just stops ). So I thought about getting it ripped but then I though of the first.Maybe if the method of Grandia2 dreamcast (when you reach x/y part of the game, save you progress and put disc two or the game will crash) is used then a good rip could be done... What you think?
