RESULT!!!!

Assumption is a dangerous thing!!!

I assumed that Wallace and Gromit had the same problem as Bob the builder.

Ran clonyxl against it 2nite and discovered it had bad reads. Was then able to clone it!!!

So if BTB is protected by securom 4.8, the instructions in the FAQ look complicated. Would a newbie be able 2 do it?

Glad you got somewhere mate. As for assumption being the root of all f_ck ups.........I think we've all been there!

Certainly the test you did with daemon tools would indicate a reading problem....either drive related (i.e. it's fecked) or a copy protection not allowing a good copy.

You might want to try Alcohol 120% (that's not a drink, by the way) as it combines Daemon tools "virtual cdrom" with a burning software. Allegedly can copy most stuff.
