Thanks for the correction....
I will look up in the forum threads on how to clean a laser. Everyones help is greatly appreciated. P.S .... Thanks for the clearification as i was just about to toss the freezing back up discs into the Garbage C.R.G

Just go to your local electronics store and purchase a cd or dvd cleaning cd (the ones with the little brushes on it.) Hopefully that will take care of your problems...

Dont complain, the Verb discs are 13.00 each here and that is at the cheapest place in town.
I tryed the disc cleaner with the brushes but still have the same probelm. I found a mod chip installer in the area and am going to try my back ups on his machine through the weekend. he can also ajust my laser if required. That should answer a few questions, i will let you know how it turns out. C.R.G

The backups that freeze,,have you tried them on any of your m8s ps2,,,,if they work on another ps2 then it could be you've got a lazer problem,,,,,,,process of elimination, got to be the only way to go
